Professional Bio

Claude Ricks is a Managing Partner at Level5 where he ensures that his clients successfully navigate the often-tumultuous industry environments and manage a variety of internal and external stakeholders.

Claude achieves this by first defining and applying Level5’s approach that supports clients in formulating a customer-centred strategy. Then, Claude helps his clients implement the changes required to consistently delivery on their promise to customers

A passionate believer in the culture of reinvention, he excels at helping clients braid agility into their competitive advantage so they maintain sustainable growth and stay ahead of the curve.

Claude is a devoted believer in volunteering time to causes that build healthy communities. He is part of a wide-ranging mentorship network that spans a variety of industries and levels of professional experience. He currently sits on the board of directors of SQI Diagnostics (TSX:V SQD) and Siamons International. Previously, Claude on he served as the Chairman of Development Board at Georgian College.

His favourite weekend getaway involves the cottage, wake surfing, watching friends experience his 80 ft water slide for the first time or an enjoyable Brunello on the dock.

Previous Experience

Claude leverages his extensive experience in a variety of executive roles to bring companies to life and drive actions that foster a climate of constructive transformation. His resume highlights include the following:

  • As a Principal at A.T. Kearney, Claude co-lead the building of the global change management practice and lead several restructuring projects in the areas of financial services and product supply chains.
  • He was the COO of gShift Labs, a platform that utilized big data to inform, optimize and report on digital content marketing across various search and social platforms.
  • Prior to joining Level5, he gained broad leadership experience as the CEO of SQI diagnostics, a bio-tech company listed on the Toronto Ventures Exchange.

Education

Claude received his BSc with Honours from Western University.

About the role

We’re looking for a Senior Consultant to join our team. We seek an ambitious, energetic and curious mind who is able to adapt to a dynamic work environment. You will be expected to collaborate with other team members to effectively deliver project projects. Our multi-project approach will enable you to take on increased responsibility and gain experience and visibility in a number of organizations across various industries.

Responsibilities:

  • Able to develop high quality client project content independently, including scoping, proposing, project problem diagnosis, solution development and planning, financial analysis, business case development, client communications, facilitation, and documentation
  • Able to manage day-to-day client interaction and project team activities, monitor timelines, due dates and project profitability
  • Able to facilitate effectively and confidently in front of the client
  • Work cohesively across numerous projects and client teams simultaneously
  • Continuously refine and develop the Level5 toolkit to ensure that material stays current, relevant, and reflects learning from client engagements
  • Participate in business development
  • Contribute to internal firm activities (e.g., marketing, business development and culture at Level5)

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Well-developed analytical/story-telling capabilities, problem-solving skills and critical and strategic thinking
  • Strong financial acumen and excellent Excel skills
  • Strong writing, presentation and facilitation skills, including in-depth knowledge of PowerPoint
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
  • Strong organizational, time management and multi-tasking skills
  • Passion for learning
  • 3-4 years of work experience in management consulting or other relevant industry

Our multi-project approach will enable you to take on increased responsibility and gain experience and visibility in a number of organizations across various industries.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive project research and analysis and translate them into actionable recommendations.
  • Build presentation materials that clearly communicate findings and recommendations to clients and internal teams.
  • Work cohesively across numerous projects and client teams simultaneously.
  • Support project leadership by attending and participating in client meetings, workshops, and presentations.
  • Manage day-to-day relationships and project management with clients.
  • Monitor project timelines and budget to make sure the assigned projects are on track and within budget.
  • Participate in business development.
  • Contribute to internal firm activities (e.g., marketing, business development and culture at Level5).

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Well-developed research and analytical capabilities, problem-solving skills and critical and strategic thinking
  • Financial acumen and excellent Excel skills
  • Strong writing and presentation skills, including knowledge of PowerPoint
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
